Today is Sunday and the team went to the Phsa Leu Church which is a C&MA Church. It was great to worship our amazing God here in Siem Reap with our Cambodian brothers & sisters in Christ. They were so welcoming to our team and for Leah & Kathie – to see some old friends. It was a lively Church with songs by the children, the youth and by a team of young and old together. What a joy to see so many praising our heavenly Father. By the time we got back to the hotel it was time to get ready for the children’s & Youth services at Kims. We started with the children colouring fish because the lesson Leah was teaching on was Fishers of Men. The kid’s memory verse was Matthew 4:19,20 “Come, follow me, Jesus said, and I will send you out to fish for people. At once they left their nets and followed him.” The team acted out Leah’s lesson with boats by the sea shore, casting nets and Jesus (Daniel), Peter (Scott), Andrew (Kathie) & John (Sandra). We taught the 60+ kids a new english song – Every Day – and played a fishing game with them. After cleaning up we got ready for the youth service where Kathie taught on Acts 2:42-47 and what it is like to be a follower of Jesus. We sang and prayed and offered communion to the 12+ youth who attended. What a blessing to see these older kids digging into God’s word and coming eager to learn more.
