Today started out with a 7:00 am soccer game with the kids (and it was already 38 degrees!). It was a lot of fun and they are great players who gave our team a bit of a run around! After the game and team devotions, Kim lead us on a prayer walk through her neighbourhood which included the Buddhist temple down the street. With Scriptures in hand we prayed over Kim’s location as well as along the streets and neighbourhood. We prayed through the Temple grounds and around the building as well. What struck the team was how dead and void of spirit this place was – true life is only found in Jesus Christ. Later in the day we played games with the kids. A Cambodian company with connections to Kim came and handed out gifts to all the children. What a blessing to see a market place leader coming to bless the kids – then they blessed our team by taking us out to dinner.
The little girl in the picture below was an amazing soccer player and she was the smallest on the team. The boys better watch out – she was a little tiger on the field 🙂
